Oklahoma State football updates roster ahead of 2021 season

The start of fall camp for Oklahoma State football is almost here as the Cowboys get ready to resume practices Friday inside the Sherman E. Smith Training Center. The Pokes return 17 starters from last season’s roster, but there are still plenty of fresh faces for this go round — 35 newcomers to be exact.

There are two returning players who made adjustments to their respective jersey numbers. Redshirt senior defensive end Brock Martin, who previously wore No. 40, will now don No. 9. Redshirt senior wide receiver Tay Martin also made a switch, going from No. 4 to No. 1.

In addition to number changes, there were a handful of Cowboys that made significant gains to their weight. True freshman offensive lineman Silas Barr is up nearly 30 pounds since his senior season of high school. Sophomore cornerback Korie Black put on roughly 20 pounds since the start of his freshman campaign last August. Redshirt junior linebacker Lamont Bishop and redshirt senior defensive line Tyren Irby are both up 15 pounds from last season, while several notable players increased their weight by 10 pounds from last season.
